1/2024 New Arrival - Scarce 1937 Morgan 4/4 Prototype Standard Special Powered 4/4 Race Car We had an opportunity to properly inspect, prep and wake up another one of our latest consignments over the weekend with one of the best automotive engineers we know. This is a scarce 1937 Morgan 4/4 Prototype Standard Special Powered 4/4 Race Car and has been sleeping for 15+ years. It also has a special history that makes it a one of a kind example. This rarity spent much of it's life at the Morgan factory as a reference vehicle. The factory ledger indicates that the engine was "on approval" from the Standard Engine Co. In 1937, HFS Morgan gave this car to Peter Henry Geoffrey Morgan. Peter Morgan raced the car with some success including a third place finish at Silverstone on September 13, 1952. It is also the only Morgan engine offered with the Morgan name on the valve cover. It was brought over to the USA as a racer and the current logbook also lists over 100 races in the past 30 years. It is signed by Peter and Charles Morgan, as well as Maurice Owen, Morgan's Development Engineer and has been in the Pebble Beach and Meadowbrook Hall Concours d'Elegance. This vehicle, as well as another 1937 Morgan 4/4, 1935 Morgan F-2 Racecar and 1952 Jaguar XK-120 will be offered internationally at auction in the March 2024 timeframe. 12/2023 - New Arrival - 1952 Jaguar XK-120 Fixed Head Coupe. Every so often we consign a vehicle that has played a large part of automotive history. This 1952 Jaguar XK-120 Fixed head Coupe is no exception. The Jaguar XK series was unveiled at the annual London Motor Show in October 1948. The all-new XK-120 was the star of the show, it was an amazingly sleek and most modern sports car ever seen by the public. With hand built, curvaceous bodywork and a smooth, powerful new twin cam six, it marked a complete design departure from prewar British practice. While it had strong appeal on both sides of the Atlantic, it was responsible for fueling the US sports car fever and Harley Earl's development of the 1953 Chevrolet Corvette. It also gave way to another trend-setting Jaguar nearly 15 years later, the E-type or XKE. This world-class vehicle is being offered for sale for the first time in many years and comes from the estate of a very long term owner as part of an outstanding collection of high value cars. It is a very well sorted out Jaguar that the owner drove and enjoyed. He used it for car shows and road events, including Road America. This vehicle, as well as a pair of 1937 Morgan 4/4 Racecars and 1935 Morgan F-2 Racecar will be offered internationally at auction in the March 2024 timeframe. Unearthed - RARE 1953 Corvette 12/21/2021 A few months ago, we had the chance to unearth a real 1953 Corvette. This is the first year of the Corvette with 300 produced and probably 100-150 that still exist. They are considered iconic in the Corvette world and very scarce. This vehicle was purchased years ago in the current modified state. It has a non original 327 and Muncie 4 speed and has been stored since the 1970s. It was located in an unlocked garage SE Wisconsin and now safely in the owner's shop. The owner is nearly 80 years old and has decided to let the next person recondition or restore the vehicle. The Sell It Now Store charges a commission on the sale of items, based on the type
of item, quantity of items and auction/brokerage venue. The fee breakdown is negotiable when consigning a large estate or high value vehicle or collection. This fee or auction commission can range from 5% to 25%. For example, a collector car or truck that has a current market value of $27500.00 or more is charged a 8% commission with no other fees. We take care of everything including transportation / shipping.
